I photographed Mr and Mrs Solomons wedding one misty morning. The air was cold but invigorating, they live in Muizenberg so it was that cool, fresh ocean breeze. Dane got dresses at their place, he was nowhere to be found at first so I photographed all the groom’s men in the meantime. He eventually came back and we left to get him dresses and have his photographs taken.
Dane was so busy so I got him calmed down and helped where I could. He eventually calmed down as a few things were out of place, but we got it sorted and then we were just waiting in anticipation for his bride. Before we left for the reception and photographs, Dane left the entire congregation in awe by singing to Calli-Anne, it was truly magical.
After the ceremony, we left to the reception in Paarl at Domaine Brahms. It’s a beautiful venue just before Wellington, with lush grass and chairs all over the lawns. We photographed the bridal party then ended off the reception indoors with food and dancing.
Often the photographer’s job becomes so much more than just the lady with the camera. My job is not just to take the photographs, it’s to get the client calm, excited and relaxed so you can enjoy the day, despite things going wrong. It’s the overall experience with you that the client will remember after the event is done. May my presence bring a great experience to your special day
